Essential Functions and Responsibilities


The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support to the Director of Human Resources as well as the Human Resources Team.


Assists department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees.


Responsible for pre-employment and new hire paperwork.


Submits the online investigation requests and assists with new employee background checks.


Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.


Assists with annual benefits enrollment for employees.


Assists with general benefits administration.


Assists with I-9 documentation and maintains file according to record retention guidelines.


Conducts audits of various payroll, benefits or other HR programs as requested.


Assists Director of HR with various research projects and/or special projects.


Makes photocopies, scan or faxes documents and performs other clerical functions.


Scan papers and documents into appropriate employee files.


Assists or prepares correspondence.


Prepares electronic new employee files.


Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Associate degree and/or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 25-50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Traveling is required as needed up to 25% of the time.
