The Accounting Assistant processes checks and miscellaneous accounting filing and support.
Assist with accounts payable functions to include coding and entering invoices and setting up checks.*
Assist with account reconciliation under supervisor of AP supervisor, as needed.*
Communicate via telephone and email with property managers and vendors, as needed.*
File and post deposits, as needed.*
Coordinate with community managers and accounts payable to determine cash balance. *
Act as back up for processing the office mail.*
Assist with packing audit boxes as needed.*
Assist with personal property tax returns as needed.*
Assist with scanning various accounting reports.*
Serve as backup to Accounting Filing Clerk and perform those duties in their absence.*
Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-2 years Accounts Payable experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be skilled in Microsoft Office. SAGE and AvidXchange experience a plus.
