    Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    The Accounting Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all accounting activities which includes general accounting, accounts receivables and payables, report preparation, and month-end closings. Ensures staff compliance with company policies and procedures. Hires, supervises, and motivates all accounting staff and makes recommendations for disciplinary action and development. Responsible for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards and maintain integrity and security of financial records.

     

    Oversee daily accounting activities including general accounting, accounts receivables, and payables.

     

    Review and issue monthly financial statements.

     

    Ensure staff compliance with company policies and procedures and governmental laws and regulations.

     

    Hire, supervise, and motivate all accounting staff and make recommendations for disciplinary action and development.

     

    Prepare budget variance analysis.

     

    Responsible for year-end-closings which includes preparation of annual financial statement packages with outside CPA’s.

     

    Maintain the integrity and security of financial records by enforcing established accounting policies and internal control procedures.

     

    Respond to owners, investors, and agency inquiries and requests.

     

    Make recommendations to management for improvement of company policies, procedures, and practices.

     

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Valid Driver's License and Insurance Required.

     

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
    Bachelor’s Degree (B.A or B.S.) in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years accounting experience and some supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Real estate experience a plus.

     

    MS Office and 10 key skills required. Sage 100 and Boston Post knowledge a plus.
