    Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    The Accounting Assistant performs miscellaneous accounting support. Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.


    Daily filing.*


    Match check stubs with invoices and put checks in envelopes to be mailed.*


    Separate checks to corporate staff and deliver them to appropriate people.*


    Assist with all Accounts Payable functions to include coding and entering invoices and setting up checks.*


    Distribute invoices to property managers.*


    Act as back up for processing the office mail.*


    Coordinate packing audit boxes as needed.*


    Assist with personal property tax returns, prepare 1099, and unclaimed property reports as needed.*


    Assist with scanning various accounting reports.*


    Perform other duties as assigned.

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three (1-3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
